About Hills Point Resort
Hills Point Resort offers vacation rentals in the Les Cheneaux Islands (Cedarville, Michigan) close to Hessel - home of the boat show! The resort is nestled just 35 miles from Mackinac Bridge, 30 miles from St. Igance and 20 miles from Detour; in the breathtaking beauty and peaceful tranquility of Michigan's Eastern Upper Peninsula. Our cabins offer you an affordable, low maintenance getaway on our very own Hill Island directly on the shore of Lake Huron.
Each of our cabins have been upgraded with new high efficiency furnaces, ranges and outdoor water heaters- for flawless reliability and safety.
Each cabin also has new pots and pans, a color TV w/cable, bathroom with shower, a kitchen with a refrigerator, new 2014 stove, microwave, and automatic coffee maker.
Pots and pans, dinnerware and utensils are furnished. We also provide a picnic table and charcoal grill for outdoor dining with each cabin.
Only bed linens are provided, so please remember to bring your own paper products and towels while staying at Hills Point Resort.

When you come to Hill Island, you are in for some great swimming, boating, paddling, fishing, relaxing and building great relationships with people from all over! Directly off your porch you will find 500ft of sandy beach in the protected channels and bays of Lake Huron. Go for a swim, take a boat around the islands or stick around on the dock and enjoy the setting sun over these breathtaking islands!

Hill Island Road is a wonderful place to enjoy an early morning walk, jog, run or bike ride to enjoy the beauty of the island and experience the wildlife it holds. The protected waters surrounding the resort are perfect for boating, paddling, kayaking, fishing, or just sitting back and enjoying the view from your porch or from our two resort fire pits set-up along our private, sandy beach!
Local
In Cedarville and Hessel you'll find many unique shops full of antiques, handmade crafts and gifts! There is also some wonderful restaurants and ice cream shops to enjoy! Playgrounds, nature trails and preserves, marinas, museums and a boat building school are all places you can visit in the area. Of course the famous Boat Show is the most popular summer event in the Les Cheneaux Islands!
Travel Close
There are many surrounding areas that hold fun things to do as well! In Hessel you will find a casino. Take 20 minutes to travel to the beautiful Drummond Island! 35 minutes away is St. Ignace and the Mackinac Island boats! If you feel like venturing even further, you can take 40 minutes to visit the Soo Locks and boat tours take 90 minutes to the very pretty Tahquamenon Falls & Whitefish Point Museum!
